The Dells...

We took a little family vacation last weekend to the Wisconsin Dells and stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge. We checked in on Sunday afternoon and didn't leave the resort until we checked out Tuesday morning. We had a really great time playing at the water park, playing games in the arcade, and just relaxing. Here are some pictures!

January Thaw...

I truly love the month of January. I always feel like it's a month just to breath and relax a bit after the hustle and bustle of the Holidays'. I haven't blogged since Christmas because we honestly haven't had much going on! We spent every weekend in January at home just hanging out! We also spent about a week passing around a nasty cough/cold/ear infection....oh, how we love Flu Season at the Davis Homestead! Oh, and forgot to mention that Jeff hurt his back putting his sock on getting ready for work on a Friday morning so, that layed him up the entire weekend! Getting old is a bi#$*!!!...ha!

I was so lazy that I didn't even take any pictures. Bad Mommy!!! Our only picture was taken at Bella Kellbach's 5th Birthday party. Tyson is in the front row, third from the left. Aiden is in the back row, second from the right.

But, while I love January and my hibernation, I do start to get a bit febrile by the end of the month and by mid-February, I have a very bad case of cabin fever!!!

So, we are here and alive at the Davis Homestead!!!

Christmas 2012 Greeting!

So, I ordered our annual Christmas cards after a very busy day at work a few weeks ago after the boys' had gone to bed. Needless to say, I was about 25 short!! So, if you didn't recieve a Christmas card from us this year, it's not that we forgot about you, I just didn't have enough! Jeff and I had to go through our list last weekend and only send out the 30 cards that I did order to our friends/family that we don't see often. Thank goodness for 2012! With Social Media, Blogger, and email, I think I got it all covered!

Merry Christmas 2012 from the Davis family!!

Come To The Manger...

Aiden had his Christmas program at church yesterday. It was such an adorable program! Aiden did such a great job singing! We didn't think Ty would be participating as he is in the Nursery, but he had a small cameo being a baby donkey, but I wasn't quick enough to catch him on camera! Aiden walked around the house all last week singing, "Come To The Ranger" He finally got the words by Sunday morning!
Here is a video!  Enjoy!

"My Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades"

We had a VERY low key weekend at home. It was wonderful, splendid, relaxing, and we were ready for Ty to return to school today!

Our little baby Ty Ty....he's sweet and kind, yes! BUT, my friends', he is quickly approaching the 'horrible 3's'

This is what we found Saturday night when we were all getting our coats, hats, shoes on to go have dinner at the Pizza Ranch. Apparently Ty didn't get the memo that it is NOT sunny at 5 pm in Iowa in December. He must have been going for the 'I am a cool toddler' look in hopes to impress the toddler ladies at the Pizza Ranch. Because you know that is the cool place to hang out on a Saturday night when there was a Groupon sold recently and you can fill your kids up with pizza, dessert pizza, and ice cream for dirt cheap!

Ty is a trend setter, I guess, because older bro had to follow suit!

I really think that the mohawk Spider Man hat WITH the shades makes the outfit complete!

Don't you?

Getting Into The Spirit...

We did something this past weekend that I hope will become one of our Christmas traditions. We went to West Branch Christmas Past in West Branch, IA on Saturday night. This is small community about 20 minutes east of Iowa City and it brings me back to growing up in small town Denver, Iowa! This community is the home of President Herbert Hoover's birthplace so, there is quite a bit of history there as well. We had so much fun walking through their Main Street, listening to the High School Choir sing carols, watching a Gibson train set amongst a Christmas village at the Fire Station, roasting marshmellows on the street corner, exloring the Herbert Hoover Museum grounds at night, and taking a horse and wagon ride through the grounds as well. Here are some pictures! Enjoy!
