Nothing Runs Like A Deere...

We made our annual trip today to the John Deere Pavilion in Moline, IL with the boys'. This has become a late Spring/early Summer tradition for us since Aiden was about 18 months. Every year the boys' appreciate the trip a bit more, but they mostly love just getting up close to their green and yellow machines that they only see from a distance along the highway parked in someone's farm and working in a field. The Pavilion was given a 'face lift' this year so, they had a great new set up and all new tractors! We took so many great pictures, but here are a few! Enjoy!

A morning of fun...

Yesterday the Kellbach girls' (Isabella and Evelyn) came over to play in the morning while Jeff and Robin had a Garage Sale! The kids' had a blast consuming an entire bag of Hostess Chocolate Donuts, playing in the basement, making artwork with sidewalk chalk in the driveway, and playing in the backyard in the sandbox and on the swing set. We even ended the morning with a trip with the Kellbach family to the Old Chicago lunch buffet..yummmooo! Here are a few pictures of our morning!

Having a snack on the front porch!
Sorry about the somewhat distorted pictures. Jeff was testing out his new Droid Razor phone camera and I was thrilled that the update that Motorola prompted me to do FIXED my phone (I now have a working camera again and can send a text message!) was the exact same update that BROKE Jeff's phone! How can SMART phones be so dumb sometimes?!? Anyhoo, we were too lazy to go inside to get the camera to get some quality pictures!

Our London Tower Bridge video...

This is too funny not to share! At the end of the tour of the Tower  Bridge, there was this video booth that you could record a 12 second video postcard. So, we decided to send the boys' one! Right before we pressed 'record' Jeff said that I would do all of the talking. I feel like I did a great job, but then Jeff had to had his two seconds!
Enjoy!

Easter 2012

Happy Easter 2012 from the Davis Family! We had a great Easter weekend! Jeff and I both had Good Friday off and it was so nice to spend the day together. We traveled north on Friday afternoon to Denver to spend Friday night and Saturday with the 'Brady Bunch'. The weekend was full of good food, egg hunts, lots o' candy, and fun family times! We came back home Saturday night so that we could go to our church on Easter Sunday, but Jeff ended up waking up in the middle of the night with the stomach flu so, the boys' and I went to church without Jeff, but we did have a nice relaxing day at home on Sunday! Here are a few pictures from our weekend!

"Aiden, did you forget something?"

Tonight during dinner, Aiden gets up from the table to go to the bathroom. Jeff, Ty, and I proceed to eat. Aiden and Ty weren't that hungry tonight. Not sure if it was a late lunch, too many afternoon snacks, or the itch to get back outside, but Jeff and I excused both of them from the table. Jeff and I started our usual routine of picking up the kitchen after dinner when I noticed these neatly folded on the kitchen counter...

Now, I really don't think Aiden folded these so neatly after going to bathroom. I certainly did not and I'm guessing Ty didn't either. So, it was either the cat...wait he doesn't have opposible thumbs! OK, it had to have been Jeff.

Back to the story...I say to Jeff, "Does Aiden have any pants on outside?" Jeff says, "Uh, what?" I repeat, "Does Aiden have any pants on outside?" Jeff looks outside and says with a giggle, "Nope!"

This is what I encountered from the siding glass door from the kitchen looking down into our back yard.

Well, this is nice! What you can't see in this picture is our neighbor doing yard work on the other side of the fence right next to our swing set acting as if this is completely normal!
So, I go out to the back yard. This is my conversation with the 4 year old...
"Aiden, you can't go outside with no pants or underwear on."
"Why Mommy?"
"Well, Aiden if you do this when you get bigger, the cops will arrest you and put you in jail. It's called Indicent Exposure."
"Oh, OK Mommy. But, it was fun!"

And this is the happy dance he did before we put the underwear and shorts back on...

Oh, how I love our ever so boring and ordinary life!
